Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to the free website preview process and paid services provided by Service Contractor Growth (“SCG,” “we,” “us” or “our”). When these Terms are referenced in a proposal, invoice, checkout, order, email confirmation or other service agreement, your payment, written approval or request that SCG begin paid work constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

Requesting a free website preview does not create a payment obligation. If a written proposal, invoice or service-specific agreement expressly conflicts with these Terms, the service-specific written terms control for that particular service.

Free Website Preview

SCG may offer a personalized working website preview before you decide whether to purchase a website launch. The preview request is free, has no purchase obligation and does not require a call.

When you provide a Facebook business page or other business-page link, you authorize SCG to review and use publicly displayed business information, branding, service information and other non-confidential business-facing content from that page for the limited purpose of preparing and presenting your requested preview.

A preview is a demonstration, not a live production website. Forms, tracking, domain settings, integrations, phone links or other production features may be inactive, temporary or configured only after purchase. Preview content may also contain placeholders or draft wording that must be reviewed before launch.

$150 Contractor Website Launch

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, SCG’s standard contractor website launch is a one-time $150 payment and includes:

• Personalization around the client’s business, branding, services and service area.
• Up to a five-page website.
• Mobile-friendly design and quote-request functionality.
• A standard domain registration for the first year, when a new domain is needed and an eligible domain is available.
• Domain connection, technical setup and website launch.
• The first 30 days of Website Care and launch support.

“Up to five pages” means the final page count is based on the approved scope and the needs of the client’s business; it does not require SCG to create unused or unnecessary pages solely to reach five pages.

A standard included domain generally means a normally priced, available domain registration. Premium, aftermarket, brokered, unusually priced or specialty domains are not included unless SCG agrees otherwise in writing. If the client already owns a domain, SCG can connect the website to that domain instead.

SCG generally aims to launch within 2–3 business days after the client approves the direction and SCG has received the completed intake information, required photos or content, approvals and any access reasonably needed to finish the launch. This is a target turnaround time, not a guarantee.

Client Responsibilities and Approval

You are responsible for providing accurate business information and timely access to the materials SCG reasonably needs to perform the services. This may include your business name, services, service area, contact information, photos, logo, domain access, Google account access and other relevant materials.

You represent that you own, license or otherwise have permission to use any photos, logos, trademarks, written content or other materials you provide or direct SCG to use. You are responsible for reviewing the finished website and business information for factual accuracy, including services, service areas, pricing claims, licenses, phone numbers and other business details.

Delays in providing information, approvals, access or required verification steps may delay launch or ongoing service work.

Included 30 Days of Website Care

The first 30 days of Website Care are included with the standard $150 website launch and begin when the website is launched unless SCG confirms a different start date in writing.

During that period, Website Care may include managed hosting, technical maintenance, routine website and quote-form checks, reasonable small text, photo or service updates, domain/DNS help and direct SCG support.

New pages, major redesigns, substantial copywriting, custom functionality, large content migrations or other work outside routine small updates may require a separate quote.

Optional Website Care — $49/Month

After the included first 30 days, Website Care is optional and currently offered at $49 per month, unless a different price is stated in writing for a particular client.

Website Care may include managed hosting and technical maintenance, small text/photo/service updates, quote-form and routine website checks, domain/DNS assistance and direct SCG support.

Optional Google Business Profile Management — $49/Month

Google Business Profile management is an optional month-to-month service currently offered at $49 per month, unless otherwise stated in writing.

The standard service may include initial setup and verification assistance, up to four Google posts each month, project photo uploads, profile and business-information updates, and basic review-response assistance.

Google determines Business Profile eligibility, verification methods, suspensions, reinstatement decisions, ranking and platform policies. Verification is subject to Google’s verification process. SCG cannot guarantee that Google will verify, approve, restore, rank or continue displaying any Business Profile.

When possible, the client should remain the owner of the Google Business Profile and provide SCG with the manager-level access reasonably needed to perform the service.

Optional Google Ads Management — $97/Month

Google Ads management is an optional month-to-month service currently offered at $97 per month, unless otherwise stated in writing.

The standard service is designed around one focused local Google Search campaign for a primary service. Management may include search-term and negative-keyword management, local targeting, ad adjustments, and call and quote-form conversion tracking where technically available and properly configured.

Google ad spend is separate from SCG’s management fee and is paid directly to Google by the client, unless another arrangement is expressly agreed in writing.

Advertising results vary. SCG does not guarantee a specific number of leads, calls, form submissions, sales, revenue, cost per lead, ad position or return on advertising spend.

Optional Service Combinations

SCG currently publishes the following month-to-month combinations:

• $98/month: Website Care + Google Business Profile management.
• $195/month: Website Care + Google Business Profile management + Google Ads management.

Clients may use services separately or together. Adding or removing a service may change the monthly total to the then-current applicable standalone or combination price. Google ad spend remains separate from all SCG management fees.

Monthly Billing and Cancellation

Optional recurring services are month-to-month unless SCG and the client agree to a different term in writing. Monthly services may be billed in advance for the upcoming service period.

You may cancel a month-to-month service by contacting SCG before the next billing date. Cancellation stops future renewals and becomes effective at the end of the current paid service period unless SCG confirms an earlier date in writing.

Except where required by law or otherwise agreed in writing, amounts already paid for a current monthly service period are not prorated after that period has begun.

Payments and Refunds

Fees are due according to the invoice, checkout or written payment terms provided for the service. SCG may pause work or withhold launch if an amount that is due remains unpaid.

Because website personalization is custom work performed for a specific business, the website launch fee is generally non-refundable after SCG has begun substantive personalization or other paid launch work, except where required by law or where SCG agrees otherwise in writing.

Third-party costs that have already been incurred for the client, including a domain registration, may be non-refundable once purchased. If SCG is unable or unwilling to provide a paid service before meaningful work begins, SCG may issue an appropriate refund or credit.

Edits and Additional Work

The included first 30 days of Website Care cover reasonable routine small edits and launch support. Requests outside the original scope or beyond routine small edits may require additional payment or a separate project quote.

SCG will make reasonable efforts to identify out-of-scope work before performing material additional work that would create an extra charge.

Website Ownership and Reusable SCG Materials

After full payment of the applicable website launch fee, the client owns the delivered finished customized website files and client-specific content created specifically for that business, subject to third-party rights and SCG’s reusable materials described below.

SCG retains ownership of its pre-existing templates, frameworks, code patterns, systems, processes, reusable components, design methods, know-how and other non-client-specific materials. SCG may reuse, improve, adapt or incorporate those materials into work for other clients.

Client ownership of the finished website does not prevent SCG from using general techniques, layouts, reusable code, components or concepts that are not unique confidential property of the client.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, SCG may display the publicly available finished website, business name and non-confidential project information in SCG’s portfolio, examples, case studies or marketing materials.

Domain, Hosting and Account Access

When a new standard domain is included with the $150 launch, SCG may register or arrange registration of an available domain for the first year and will reasonably assist with placing the domain under the client’s control or transferring control as appropriate. Clients should own and control their domain whenever practical.

Domain renewal fees after the included first year are not included in the $150 launch price unless SCG expressly agrees otherwise in writing. The client is responsible for keeping the domain renewed after the included period and for any premium or non-standard domain costs.

Managed hosting is included during the first 30 days of Website Care. If the client does not continue Website Care, or later cancels it, SCG may discontinue managed hosting, maintenance and support after the included or paid period ends. The client may move the finished website to another compatible hosting provider, and SCG will provide the website files or reasonable transfer access.

Third-party services such as domain registrars, hosting platforms, form processors, Google services and other technology providers are governed by their own terms, policies, availability and pricing.

No Search, Profile, Advertising or Lead Guarantees

SCG may build websites using reasonable technical and content practices and may assist with Google Business Profile or Google Ads services, but search engines and advertising platforms are controlled by third parties.

SCG does not guarantee organic search rankings, Google Maps placement, Business Profile verification, advertising approval, uninterrupted platform access, a specific number of leads or any particular business result.

Third-Party Services and Platform Changes

SCG is not responsible for outages, suspensions, policy changes, algorithm changes, account restrictions, price changes, security events or other actions caused by third-party platforms outside SCG’s reasonable control.

SCG may recommend reasonable adjustments when a third-party platform changes its requirements, but substantial migration or replacement work may require a separate quote.

Suspension or Termination of Services

SCG may suspend or terminate services for nonpayment, unlawful use, abusive conduct, repeated failure to provide required access or materials, requests that violate third-party platform policies or other material breaches of these Terms.

When reasonably practical, SCG will attempt to provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before terminating an ongoing service.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCG services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. SCG will use reasonable care in performing services but does not promise that a website, hosting service, form, analytics tool, Google product or other third-party system will be uninterrupted, error-free or immune from every security issue.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCG will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost opportunities, lost data or business interruption arising from or related to the services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SCG’s total liability for a claim arising from a particular service will not exceed the amount the client paid SCG for that affected service during the six months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or the amount paid for the affected one-time service if the claim relates to a one-time project.

Client-Provided Content and Business Claims

The client is responsible for the legality, accuracy and rights associated with content, claims, images, trademarks, offers, licenses, service descriptions and other materials supplied to or approved for use by SCG. SCG may refuse to publish content that reasonably appears unlawful, misleading, infringing or inconsistent with a third-party platform’s policies.

Privacy

SCG’s handling of personal information submitted through this website is described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to Services, Pricing or These Terms

SCG may update service descriptions, published prices or these Terms from time to time. Changes to recurring-service pricing will apply prospectively and will be communicated before the new price is charged to an existing client.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when these Terms are materially updated.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another law must apply. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in a court of competent jurisdiction in Maine unless applicable law requires a different venue.
